A Romantic + Candelit Southern Rehearsal Dinner

There is something to be said about southern hospitality.  My husband and I got married in Nashville, Tennessee in May, and our rehearsal dinner night was a dream.  It was southern hospitality at its absolute finest.  Hosted by my aunt & uncle at their home, the warm summer evening was filled with joy, laughter and love underneath a blanket of southern stars.  It truly was the perfect fairytale night.  Through a labor of love, my aunts and cousins beautifully orchestrated the event, which featured an abundance of fresh white flowers (mostly all southern staples, such as hydrangeas, picked from their gardens), white tablecloths, glowing candles in silver candlesticks, strands of twinkling white lights, impeccably set tables and the smooth sounds of Sinatra flowing through the speakers.  My aunt served homemade meat & veggie lasagnas (that she prepared herself) with salads and warm bread with oil and vinegar, accompanied by a selection of wine, beer and, of course, bubbly champagne.  Dinner was followed by a dessert bar which had various sweet selections (including Wedding Cake cupcakes from GiGi's in Nashville).  Towards the end of dinner, there was a champagne toast where my husband and I, along with our closest family and friends, shared stories and gave thanks to one another for all the constant love and support we have received throughout the years.

We couldn't have dreamed of a more perfect night!  Because the rehearsal dinner was held at my aunt and uncle's home, there was a certain sense of intimacy that you simply cannot get from a rented venue.  It was absolutely the best rehearsal dinner I could have ever imagined.
